The Team Behind Gridiron4
Lee Elkins
Lee has been an integral part of Gridiron3 for many seasons, he was instrumental in the introduction of using software to enable live drafts remotely every season. He has created community content such as the Delta Meteor, the Gridiron Football Show and the Atlantic Inferno. He is also the only Gridiron coach to receive the both honours of Coach of the Year and the Lifetime Contribution to Gridiron.
Alix Humphries
Alix has worked as a software engineer for over seven years for a games company, working on games along the lines of Gridiron. He joined Gridiron in 2022 and took the Generals in the Big Sky to the Championship Game, in season 37 he joined the Atlantic and guided the Sharks from 0-10 in season 37 to 8-2, a wild card win and a loss in one of the most incredible Divisional Games ever played, they missed out 72-75. He will be developing the game and league engines from scratch.
Simon Wood
Simon has been around since season 11 and coached in the GFL, the Atlantic, Delta and the Continental. He has been unlucky having made Bowls in the various leagues but never to have won 'the big one', he lost in the A in season 34 with the Avalanche, and in the D after an unlikely run through the playoffs with the Venom in season 37. He is part of the Pardon the Interception team that looks across all six Gridiron3 leagues. With an incessant love of spreadsheets, mathematics and statistics, Simon will be helping Alix with developing the game engine.
Lee Wood
Lee was coach of the Mariners in the Atlantic from week 4 of their first season until the end of season 23, nearly 18 seasons, unfortunately he never won the A Bowl (although two seasons later they did win it all with Theo Whittingham - obviously Lee had built the foundations of that team :-D). He returned to his beloved Long Beach home in Season 34 and went to the Bowl in that season, but lost to the Stallions. He has also coached in the Delta with the Jets. He has been instrumental in running Pardon the Interception for many seasons in both its first and second incarnations. Lee will be helping to project manage G4.
